These Terms describe the Bug Connect pilot service. By using Bug Connect, you agree to use it responsibly and understand its limits.
What Bug Connect Does
Bug Connect lets you upload or capture a pest photo, receive an AI-assisted pest identification estimate, and, in supported pilot areas, request a connection to a participating local pest professional.
Bug Connect is an owner-operator-built pest identification and connection platform developed with direct pest-control industry experience. Its identification system is designed to provide practical, accuracy-focused guidance using images and available location context. Results are AI-assisted and may be incomplete or incorrect; they are not a substitute for an inspection or determination by an appropriately licensed pest-control professional.
AI Identification Is Informational
Bug Connect identifications are informational estimates based on the photo and optional regional context available at the time. We do not guarantee pest identity, species-level accuracy, image quality, regional accuracy, safety conclusions, treatment recommendations, or that a result will be complete.
Do not rely on Bug Connect as your only source for health, safety, pesticide, structural, legal, or emergency decisions. If you are concerned about bites, stings, illness, property damage, infestation, or dangerous conditions, consider contacting a qualified professional or appropriate authority.
Local Professional Recommendations
When you request help, Bug Connect may recommend one participating local pest professional based on geography, territory coverage, verified provider eligibility, provider preferences, routing availability, pest category, and participation in Bug Connect. The recommendation is not an independent ranking of all available providers.
Participating professionals are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Bug Connect. We do not guarantee that a recommended professional will accept a job, respond within a particular time, provide service, charge a specific price, or produce a particular outcome. You remain responsible for deciding whether to contact, hire, or continue working with any provider.
Your Pest Package
If you affirmatively request professional help and accept the Local Help disclosure, you authorize Bug Connect to share your pest package with the specific provider shown to you. The package may include your scan ID, pest image reference or secure image access link, AI result, confidence/category, ZIP or location context, name, phone/email, preferred contact method, notes, and submission time.
Provider Applications
Applying to become a Bug Connect provider does not guarantee acceptance, territory coverage, exclusivity, lead volume, or activation. Self-reported license, credential, insurance, service-area, and profile information may be reviewed before any provider is activated for routing.
SMS Terms
Participating providers may separately opt in to SMS messages from Bug Connect through the provider application or the Provider SMS Consent page. These messages are for provider applications, notifications about new customer service requests, and provider account/service updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. SMS consent is not required to submit a provider application or participate in Bug Connect. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Bug Connect does not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be shared with service providers only as necessary to operate or deliver the messaging service, or as required by law.
Acceptable Use
Do not misuse Bug Connect. Do not upload illegal, harmful, abusive, deceptive, unrelated, or infringing content. Do not attempt to overload, scrape, reverse engineer, bypass security, probe private systems, submit false lead requests, impersonate others, or interfere with the service.
Ownership and Content
Bug Connect and its design, software, name, logo, and service materials are owned by Bug Connect or its licensors. You keep whatever rights you have in photos and notes you submit, but you grant Bug Connect permission to use them as needed to operate the service, create scans, generate results, route help requests, protect the service, and maintain business records.
Submitted information may be retained, deleted, archived, or minimized according to Bug Connect's operational retention practices described in the Privacy Policy, including longer retention when a support, complaint, fraud-review, legal, or operational hold applies.
Service Availability
Bug Connect is a pilot and may change, pause, or stop at any time. Features, provider coverage, response times, AI models, supported areas, and notification methods may change without notice.
